AutismOne Event

This week, we want to share a special event which will be held by AutismOne in May 2017. AutismOne is an organization whose mission is to educate the public about holistic health and methods for healing vaccine injuries. The cost of the event is incredibly affordable! $59 covers 5 full days of lectures, workshops, and gatherings. The conference will be held at the Hotel Elegante in Colorado Springs from May 24-28, 2017. In an effort to keep the cost down for attendees, AutismOne has maintained a small marketing budget, so they rely on word of mouth for publicity. If you are so inspired, please share a link to the event on your social media. Thank you! We have included a link to the AutismOne website where you can register for the event, find out more information about the speakers as well as lodging etc.
The conference will include lectures covering endocannabinoid medicine and the use of cannabinoid therapy in cases of autism. There will also be many lectures surrounding the topic of natural treatments for ADHD through dietary intervention. Expect a Superhero party as well as an opening gala! See the full conference line-up on the AutismOne website.

As part of the conference, there will be a culinary day held on Thursday, May 25th. Half of the day will focus on fermentation, and the other half of the day will focus on gluten- and casein-free foods and much more!
There is child care available during the course of the event. Pre-registration is required and can be completed through the AutismOne website.

There are a number of speakers in the line-up which are especially impressive. We have highlighted a few of these speakers below.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will be one of the keynote speakers at the conference. He is leading a charge to eliminate mercury from vaccinations, as mercury-based preservatives have been repeatedly linked to cases of autism. He launched the World Mercury Project whose mission is to raise public awareness of the dangers and sources of mercury, with the ultimate goal of banning all uses of mercury on a global level.  The following excerpt is from his manifesto on mercury and vaccines which is available on his website:  "I am pro vaccine. I had all of my six children vaccinated. I believe that vaccines save millions of lives.  So let me explain why I edited the book Thimerosal: Let The Science Speak, which exposes the dangerous—and wholly unnecessary—use of the mercury-based preservative thimerosal in vaccines being given to millions of children and pregnant women here and around the world. Vaccines are big business. Pharma is a trillion-dollar industry with vaccines accounting for $25 billion in annual sales. CDC’s decision to add a vaccine to the schedule can guarantee its manufacturer millions of customers and billions in revenue with minimal advertis- ing or marketing costs and complete immunity from lawsuits. High stakes and the seamless marriage between Big Pharma and government agencies have spawned an opaque and crooked regulatory system. Merck, one of America’s leading vaccine outfits, is currently under investigation for deceiving FDA regulators about the effectiveness of its MMR vaccine. Two whistleblowers say Merck ginned up sham studies to maintain Merck’s MMR monopoly...The corruption has also poisoned CDC’s immunization safety office, the research arm that tests vaccines for safety and efficacy. In August 2014, seventeen-year CDC veteran, Dr. William Thompson, who is author of the principal study cited by CDC to exculpate mercury- preserved vaccines from the autism link, invoked whistleblower protection, and turned extensive agency files over to Congress. Thompson, who is still employed at CDC, says that for the past decade his superiors have pressured him and his fellow scientists to lie and manipulate data about the safety of the mercury-based preservative thimerosal to conceal its causative link to a suite of brain injuries, including autism."

Robert Melillo

Robert Melillo, the author of Disconnected Kids, Reconnected Kids, and Autism: The Scientific Truth about Preventing, Diagnosing, and Treating Autism Spectrum Disorders--And What Parents Can Do Now. He is considered to be one of the of the most respected specialists in childhood neurological disorders in America, Dr. Robert Melillo has been helping children overcome learning disabilities for over 20 years. His areas of expertise include: autism spectrum disorders, PDD/NOS, ADD/ADHD, OCD, dyslexia, Asperger’s, Tourette’s, bipolar disorder, and other mental, attention, behavioral and learning disorders. He is also and expert in diet, nutrition and neuroimmune disorders in children and adults.

Suzanne Humphries, MD

Suzanne Humphries, MD, has made it her mission to provide as much information as possible to her listeners so that they can make an informed decision when it comes to vaccinating their children. She makes the following statement on her website. "Medical schools do not educate about the contents, dangers, effectiveness or necessity of vaccines. Most medical doctors are fearful of the natural childhood illnesses because they don’t have any idea how to safely assist patients through them; and the limited mainstream treatment options I learned, often caused the diseases to be worse than they had to be.  Yet surprisingly, I discovered other methods which work extremely well, but were never presented as part of my medical education."

We also wanted to share a link to a press conference which was given by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Robert De Niro this past week at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., during which they discussed their efforts to inform the public about  about mercury and vaccines. The video is just over an hour long, but the time investment is well worth it. Check it out!

Grilled Lamb Chops with Pistachio Mint Pesto

Recipe Credit:
For lamb:
  • 8 lamb chops
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
For pesto:
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed mint leaves
  • 1/3 cup shelled pistachios
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Water

For lamb:
  1. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
  2. Remove lamb from the fridge and let them sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Season with desired amount of kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper.
  3. Add to the grill and cook until each side is browned and has nice grill marks. It should only take about 10 minutes for the lamb chops to cook because you wan't them to still be slightly pink in the middle.
  4. Serve hot with pistachio mint sauce.

For pesto:
  1. In a small food processor add mint, pistachios, lemon zest, lemon juice, kosher salt and black pepper. Chop it a little to start breaking down the nuts and mint. While the food processor is running drizzle in the olive oil and blend until combined.
  2. At this point take off the lid and scrape down the sides. Put the lid back on and drizzle in some water while the processor is running until you have reached your desired consistency. I like my pesto to be a bit thiner so it drizzles nicely and is more "saucy" than a thick sauce.
Note: For serving I grilled up a few lemons and cut up some red onion. Not necessary but makes for a pretty presentation.

Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin

Note: We omitted dates from this recipe
  • 1.25-1.5 lb pork tenderloin
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp brown mustard
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper
  • sea salt to sprinkle on meat
  • 6 slices nitrate free, sugar free bacon

  1. Cut off the silver skin from your tenderloin and remove any excess fat. Sprinkle it with salt all over and set it in a roasting pan or large cast iron skillet. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. To make the sauce, mix together the coconut aminos, mustard, smoked paprika, onion powder and black pepper.
  3. Pour half of the sauce over the meat and turn to cover the bottom as well. Lay the half strips of bacon over the top of the pork to cover (tuck gently underneath if there's extra), then pour remaining sauce over the top and brush to evenly coat.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 155 degrees. If desired, place under the broiler for 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Allow the meat to rest 5-10 minutes, then slice and serve - enjoy!
